Silesia Basket Challenge 2008 is a second edition of the streetball basketball tournament organized by the PLEJ Agency and Silesia City Center shopping mall in Katowice.
The Silesia Basket Challenge tournament is considered being one of the biggest streetball tournaments in Poland. Last year's success of the event, which was a host to over 120 male and female teams, settled our partnership, what effected with the second edition taking place. Bull's eye! The event hosted over 100 teams and attracted people interested not only in basketball, but also in additional ambient attractions prepared by PLEJ Events. This project for SilesiaCity Center, the biggest shopping mall in Silesia district, was another sport event organized by PLEJ that attracted more than 500 players. Our agency was responsible for creating the concept, organizing and delivering the streetball tournament and other attractions, like 1 on 1 tournament, 3 point shot competition, freestyle competition, slam dunk competition, graffiti jam and the performance of Abradab. In addition we created the dedicated website, provided full graphic services (design and production of posters, leaflets, t-shirts, etc.), took care of musical frame by hiring DJ Bart (one of the best Polish djs) and archiving (videos and photographs). We were also dealing with media relations, provision of sound and illumination equipment, recruitment of masters of ceremony, judges and other members of staff, setting up needed courts, provision of prizes for the contestants, etc.
Silesia Basket Challenge is not the only project we delivered for Silesia City Center. One of the most recent ones was the organization of the Silesia Cup volleyball tournament, which took place in the middle of August 2008.
